One of the functions of the project is to provide training in line with the capabilities framework, across disciplines, across sectors and across the three counties. This will only be possible by establishing a cascade system, closely involving ex-service users and experts by experience, and cooperating closely with other organisations.

One of the first main projects was to set up a one-year "network course" across the Thames Valley, called "Personality: people and pathology". Its first year ran from June 2003-2004, the second 2004-5 and many participants have since gone on to become "PD agents", supported by TVi. The third year is now in progress.
